It's a tearjerker, that's for sure. I'm betting if it had achieved general release, Adam would have won an award for that performance. Maybe even an Oscar.
Re: Just Re-watched Keyman: Finding Redemption Aga « Result #9 on Oct 23, 2009, 4:02pm »
I agree, I think the Keyman was one of Adam's best roles. It really showed us his acting chops, because he wasn't playing the usual character..as in 'bodyguard, soldier, cop...etc..you know? I loved his character and just wished the outcome was different.

Could one of you people who are so lucky to meet him do us other poor sods a favor and tell Adam to get his butt-and the rest of him as well!-to NYC, so we can meet him too?
Started a new Fanfic.. « Result #26 on Sept 3, 2009, 6:12pm »
I love writing for different tvshows, and I recently started a fanfic for the 'The Incredible Hulk' tv series. When I write that, I like to use my favorite actors as the lead character that David/The Hulk meets. This one is my third, my last two I was inspired to use Jon-Erik Hexum and Vincent D'onofrio....so my latest installment has Adam in it!
I'm only 2 chapters into it, I've been very busy, but I do plan to keep it up and get it finished.
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5334681/1/Incredible_Hulk_Joshua_fought_the_battle While stuck in Arizona, David meets a troubled young man named Joshua, who is caught in a tangled web of lies and thievery. Joshua desires love and a chance to change his life, but his past haunts him. Sometimes it takes a Hulk to make things right.
I'm around, I just had a very busy summer!!! Say, any news yet on that movie with Adam? The one where he is going to play a teacher? I really would like to see that.

Turned out he was an ok dude too...
Thing I liked about this film was that there really weren't any stock villains. They were all just people, some of whom made some bad mistakes in the past that would haunt them years down the line...
Re: Gospel Hill Premiering on The Movie Channel! « Result #31 on Aug 11, 2009, 12:21am »
I don't have that channel, but I did rent it from Netflix and it's a great movie if you get a chance to see it...I wish Adam's character was in it a little more, he was interesting.

I have a feeling they may cut back on the Buy More angle, now that Chuck and Casey both quit and Morgan has plans to move away with Anna...we'll have to see. I hope they don't cut Casey's role down, either.
I would also like them to make Scott Bakula permanent, but with budget cuts, they may not want to pay for such a big star either. Sigh!

Hey all I posted this in the Adamaniacs LJ, so I figured I add it here too..
the article is not new, it's from last May 2008, but it should be coming out this spring as it's in post-production now. There is a nice candid pic with the article.

I asked Adam the reason behind the shaved chest and he said he didn't know, maybe it was to make him 'shiny'. Zach piped in with "Maybe he did it for you Lyn". Adam just laughed and had a quiet word in Zach's ear.

Zach Levi, Chuck himself, led a group of several hundred convention attendees in Birmingham UK to the local subway sandwich shop on sunday 26th April as a show of support for one of the shows sponsors. He even went behind the counter and was making sandwiches.
The trip has been broadcast on youtube and reported on various news and entertainment sites across the internet.

****SPOILERS******
This was another terrific episode from Casey parachuting in through the skylight to save Ellie and then taking over the organising of the beach wedding. "No, it clashes with the bunting", classic Casey. I loved the looks on Casey and Sarah's faces as Chuck went all kung fu on the bad guys. So many wonderful lines. This show has to come back for another season.

T1 was awesome with 9 guests from Chuck, Dollhouse, Firefly, TSCC. I was lucky enough to spend some quality time chatting with Adam about a variety of subjects including healthcare, Iraq and politics in general. Adam still gives the best hugs ever.

Hi,
I was just wondering if there was an easy way to "view new posts" on this board.
If there is, I haven't been able to find it.
I only ask because I'm often away from this site for months at a time and like to come back time and time again to see what's been going on or what I may have missed.

Adam Baldwin on Ride2Recovery « Result #65 on Apr 23, 2009, 8:21am »
Adam Baldwin on Ride2Recovery
One good indication that something is worth a read is when it's cross-posted at two highly-trafficked sites at the opposite ends of the political spectrum. Such is the case with Adam Baldwin's account of his participation in Ride2Recovery -- the Texas Challenge. (Huffington Post and Andrew Breitbart's "Big Hollywood."
Baldwin, who currently co-stars in NBC's "Chuck," completed the entire 350-mile ride from San Antonio to Arlington, Texas alongside more than two dozen "wounded warriors" -- soldiers injured in Iraq, Afghanistan and even Vietnam. (My story on the ride is here.) The soldiers clearly enjoyed their time hanging out with a Hollywood star (most remember him as "Animal Mother" from "Full Metal Jacket.") But that was only the case because Baldwin, who really is one of Hollywood's good guys, took the time to listen to their stories, to laugh at their jokes and, in the end, just to be one of the guys.
In his article, he challenges his fellow actors/actresses to participate in another on of the Ride2Recovery rides. Maybe I'm just a skeptic but I doubt he'll have many takers. Which is too bad. As Lucas Goedert, a soldier with severe back/spinal cord injuries, put it: "They're the ones missing out."
The full article is printed here, and its written by Adam himself.

****Contains spoilers*****
This was a brilliant episode with plenty of Casey action. I loved the way his softer side was allowed to show, all but briefly, and the look of hurt on his face when he said he wanted to be asked to join in the rescue. I wonder if it was Adam's idea to put the Reagan photo in Casey's locker? I can't wait to see the last episode and I'm hoping its just a season finale and not the series finale.

Mkay, I just about died when I saw AB as Casey for the first time. lol. I'm a diehard Gerry Butler fan, but I find myself "cheating on Gerry" all the time now.
I had never seen Adam in anything before Chuck, but now I'm trying to get my fix. The problem being that none of the stores, rental places or libraries have anything.
Casey, even though he doesn't get too many of the "hot" scenes, is waaaay better than everyone else simply because he doesn't need to take his shirt off to be amazing. lol.

*********SPOILERS***********
I really enjoyed this epsiode it had so many great moments; from Scott Bakula's "Oh boy", a nod to his Quantum Leap character, to Casey being shot with the tranq darts. Adam's face was a picture as Chuck shot him and he then tried to fight the effects. The reveal of his Dad as Orion was nicely done, and who couldn't be moved when Chuck got the job on his own merits.

I loved the way Casey stood up for Chuck and Sarah to this vixen of an Agent. Nope, didn't like her...I don't think it would work with her and Casey, she's just a female version of him. LOL. They made that quite clear when they kept saying the same things at the same time and stuff. All in all, it was a great episode, and I really really feel bad for Devon. He's such a sweetheart. I hope Chuck can somehow clear up the mess.

So funny that the General can now speak to Chuck privately in his room, and how there were several close shaves because of Awesome's saying "Agent Charles Carmichael"...
But, on to Casey. There was some character development for our boy today, when he finally put his foot down because Chuck was getting over-ridden by the Guest Agent-I'm locking on her name.
Anyway, it was nice to see Casey sticking up for Chuck the way he did; and how he called Sarah Walker the best partner he ever had...
But that scene where he and the other agent were cleaning their guns, that was positively orgasmic...

The Starfury website now has previews of the photo's that will be available. Adam has a great selection from Chuck, Firefly/Serenity, Full Metal Jacket, I.D, Angel and some promo shots. This is going to be very expensive, but then Adam's worth every penny.
Any thoughts? Casey wasn't given as much to do, though Adam shined whenever he was allowed. It shows you that adding another member to team Chuck would take away from our Casey time! lol. I love the face he made when Chuck said he wanted the Intersect out of his brain....Casey really doesn't want to fulfill that assignment anymore.
One more note, how many people here think ORION is going to be Chuck's dad? None other than Scott Bakula? It would all fit so perfectly.
If you check out this thread, post your thoughts!
The important part of this episode was that Chuck was beginning to take control of his situation. The chart on the back of the TRON Poster showed this.

*A little SPOILER!!* . . . . . . . . I liked the film, and even though there wasn't enough of Adam, I did like the fact that his character redeemed himself. I liked how everyone did a bit of soul searching in the film. I even shed a tear when he hugged his father and cheered him on when he...*ahem* called it quits. His father's words really stung him, turns out his father was the mirror for everyone it seems.

I loved this episode; the Buy More back story with Jeffster was LOL. Casey clinging to the top of the nerd herd mobile was silly especially with Casey pleading to be let in. Adam once again seemed to have all the best lines and his facial expressions say more than a page of dialogue ever could.
... One thing that puzzled me though was why did Adam have to shave/wax his upper body. Not that I'm complaining you understand, but I couldn't see any particular reason for it in the story....
I got a copy too. I enjoyed it. But I think I might have enjoyed it more if it were done in a different format. Perhaps a mini-series or limited run series. I would have liked more developement of several of the characters. Especially Danny Glover's and Adam Baldwin's characters.
And the shaved chest thing. I AM complainin'! I figured it was done to make his character less macho. Less threatening.
"Goody or Baddy"? . . spoiler space . . for those . . .that do not . . want to know. . . . . . A man of questionable ethics that turns out to be a Goody. I liked the guy.
I must agree with you, deadly hilarious..and I LOVE Adam's 'sad' face. I so caught that when the explosion happened. Compromised with a Capitol C.
Seriously, he looked ready to cry there. And when Chuck reappeared, Casey looked like he was shaking with rage, at Chuck for putting himself into danger there, and relief that Chuck wasn't dead.
So sweet to know that Chuck's found himself a Big Brother. I think a Little Brother is just what John needs too...
New Fanfic Section for MY BODYGUARD.. « Result #92 on Feb 21, 2009, 10:37pm »
So, I sent One simple email to Fanfic.net and they created a movie section for My Bodyguard!! YAY!! I'm so glad they did..that's the second time they did that for me with a section. I'm just about finished with my latest story, I have one really old one up there ...and I know there are 3 other oldies but goodies on Fanfic that are lost in the realms of Misc.movie fics...well, no more!..if people realize there's a section.
I got my copy and watched it straight away. Its a good film with a great cast. One thing that puzzled me though was why did Adam have to shave/wax his upper body. Not that I'm complaining you understand, but I couldn't see any particular reason for it in the story.
Was he a good guy or a baddy this time?
Of course, your comments about wax lead me to believe there are some...ahem...shirtless scenes for Adam here?

The epsiode was very gimmicky and would have worked just as well in 2D. Having said that 3D Casey was a treat to the eyes.
I loved the following episode with Casey as the cable guy (my cable guy never looks like that). The 'fake' wedding photo's of Chuck and Sarah were a nice touch.

Fanfiction bits on Chuck..hmmm?? « Result #97 on Feb 17, 2009, 1:54am »
I'm just throwing this out there, but does anyone..(anyone that reads Chuck FF on here) get a little sneaking suspicion that the writers of the series may be reading our stories and incorporating ideas into their plot lines?...I've had that feeling for nearly two years now...
I only say this because i noticed that they used the 'Same as it ever was' Talking heads song while Chuck was wandering around his new 'house' in Chuck vs. the suburbs. My jaw kinda dropped, though the situation was totally different, in my Casey vs. the Deja Vu story, the first chapter was called 'Same as it ever was' and Casey was grooving to the song in the very first paragraphs. My story came out way before this episode was probably penned.
I remember being one of the first people to write Chuck Fanfic when the series started, and my first story began my AU story line with Casey and his ex-wife, etc...The first of the series had a Russian spy plot, an old love, (In this case, his ex-wife) etc..Totally different from the show..but what do you know? a few months later we get the RUSSIAN spy episode with ILSA..a long lost love of Casey?? Coincidental maybe. LOL.
I know, I sound insane, but you never know where these writers are getting some of their their ideas from, either way, it's still hilarious and witty.

I'm not sure I could pick a favourite. Each one had its own unique character.
Its too bad that Adam's not on the list for the next season because I would definitely pay to download that. At least we have Chuck to watch and Gospel Hill is out on DVD now as well.
Re: Twilight Zone Radio Dramas « Result #99 on Feb 8, 2009, 1:12am »
Me too, what was your favorite? I liked the old man in the cave and nervous man the best. Though he really shined in King 9. Also, in Mr. Denton he was fantastic..there's just something about Adam playing the cowboy Western part that so fits. It's not even cause of Jayne, though that helps solidify the image somewhat. It's also the way he raves in real life about he loves the old Westerns.
I really liked the heroic part he played in the old man and the cave. I had once left a message on the creator of this series' blog and begged him to use Adam again for a new series he's developing, lol. They are releasing season 14, but Adam's not on the list. I'm sure it's cuz he's way too busy with Chuck right now. Oh well, at least Adam is busy.
Re: So, no one has anything to say about 3-D Adam? « Result #100 on Feb 8, 2009, 1:10am »
I think the episode was very funny, The tranq darts were hilarious and then when poor Chuck was hanging off the elevator. It was hilarious how the women were being bounced around and knocked into Casey's arm and he kept tossing them, lol.
Other than that, I wasn't impressed with the whole 3-D thing. It would have stood out on its own as a 'normal' episode. I just felt it was cumbersome.
