Adam left today to head to South Africa to begin work on a remake of the Poseiden Adventures. I'm not sure which role he's playing. Good luck Adam!

Adam is PLaying Det. Lt. Mike Rogo.
I dont have much info on this version, so i dont know if they are changeing it in anyway, but here is the synopsis for the original....
A New Year's Eve celebration is interrupted aboard the S.S.Poseidon, when the passenger ship is hit by a 90 foot tidal wave and is turned topsy turvy. The capsized vessel is now the scene of a lot of heartache and mind bending struggle to survive.
A priest(Gene Hackman)does his best to lead a group of survivors from the upside down grand ballroom to the only logical escape from the propeller shaft, now above the water line.
Along the way, many obstacles challenge the group. Fire and debris need to be sidetracked and conquered. Plus the rising water floods the compartments behind them. An elderly, overweight former swimming champion(Shelley Winters)helps guide the survivors under water to stay ahead of the flooding waters.
i`ll post new info as i get it.
Darren

Adam Baldwin - ’The Poseidon Adventure’ New Tv Show - Details From Thefutoncritic.com - 2005-03-20th THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (NBC, New!) - The Peathingy has snatched up the rights to the four-hour Hallmark Entertainment-produced mini-series, which stars Steve Guttenberg, Peter Weller, Rutger Hauer, Bryan Brown and Adam Baldwin. The project was originally targeted for the Hallmark Channel itself, however NBC - hoping to find another tentpole mini-series event - snagged the Robert Halmi-produced adaptation for roughly $20 million. "Adventure" then will air at some point during the 2005-06 season, well before the big-budget Wolfgang Petersen-directed feature (set to hit theatres in May 2006). Here’s how Hallmark’s press materials describe the project: "The blockbuster phenomenon now becomes a precedent-setting new miniseries as Hallmark Entertainment raises the stakes-and the fear factor-in a hair-raising adaptation of Paul Gallico’s bestselling passage into unfathomable suspense. Welcome aboard the majestic S.S. Poseidon-a virtual floating city-as it departs from Athens on a month-long cruise. Among the 2,500 hundred passengers is Mike Rogo (Adam Baldwin, Full Metal Jacket), undercover agent for Homeland Security. Among the crew of 1,200 is Kasim Badawi, a terrorist conspiring to send an explosive message to the world. Acting on word of the impending danger, the Poseidon pushes its engine at full speed toward the nearest port, slicing through the churning waters of an escalating storm and directly into unavoidable catastrophe. Only minutes into the new year, the bomb detonates, leaving the shredded hull vulnerable to the roiling seas pouring into the wounded Poseidon. The 136,000-ton beast capsizes, leaving a chosen few underwater and terrified for their lives." "It’s hell upside down as the disparate survivors make their way up...to the bottom of the S.S. Poseidon: Richard Clarke (Steve Guttenberg, Three Men and a Baby), a husband and father torn between a mistress he must save and the family he can’t live without; European pop star Aimee Anderson (Tinarie Van Wyk, Backstage), embarking on an American career and a new Hollywood marriage; Belle Rosen (Sylvia Syms, What a Girl Wants), a widow enduring in the name of her beloved late husband; and Rogo and his reviled prisoner Badawi, handcuffed together in a personal war of justice, sacrifice, and revenge. Through the twisted metal inferno of the inverted ship, they must outlast the inevitable as the Poseidon sinks deeper and deeper into darkness. From this nightmarish maze emerges a drama of human spirit and resilience, of life-and-death emotions and psychological terrors, and of the unyielding strength of the human will to survive against all odds. With an all-star cast that also includes Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Bryan Brown (The Thorn Birds), Golden Globe winner Rutger Hauer (Salem’s Lot), C. Thomas Howell (Gods and Generals), and Oscar nominee Peter Weller (Robocop), The Poseidon Adventure is an ingenious mix of breathtaking special effects, heart-pounding human drama, and alarming suspense surpassing all that has come before for sheer epic adventure-level by terrifying level."

"THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE" -- NBC presents an edge-of-your-seat new version of the classic disaster film "The Poseidon Adventure" that brings the story into the 21st century. The three-hour movie stars Steve Guttenberg ("Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus," "Cocoon"), Rutger Hauer ("Batman Begins"), Peter Weller ("Mighty Aphrodite," "RoboCop"), Alexa Hamilton ("Santa Barbara"), Bryan Brown ("Along Came Polly," "Gorillas in the Mist"), C. Thomas Howell ("Hidalgo"), Adam Baldwin ("The Patriot") and Sylvia Syms ("What a Girl Wants"). While the 1972 Irwin Allen-produced blockbuster featured a large cruise ship that foundered under a tsunami wave, in this new version a diverse group of passengers and crew members struggle to survive after a terrorist bomb causes the cruise ship to capsize on New Year's Eve. As time runs out, the small band of survivors must find a way to stay alive until rescuers arrive. "The Poseidon Adventure" is a Hallmark Entertainment presentation of a Silverstar Limited production in association with Larry Levinson Productions. Robert Halmi Jr. (television's "The Lion in Winter") and Larry Levinson (the 2004 television miniseries "Frankenstein") are the executive producers; John Putch ("Grounded for Life") is the director. Bryce Zabel ("Dark Skies") wrote the teleplay based on author Paul Gallico's novel.

Away all boats! Granted, there probably will be more high-tone movies on TV next season. But when it comes to sheer oh-my-God, this-I-can't-miss appeal, it will be hard to top NBC's remake of The Poseidon Adventure. Yes, you heard right: a new version of the 1972 flipped-ship classic that launched a boatload of big-name disaster movies and a thousand Shelley Winters impersonators, all gleefully re-creating her famous fatal swim. NBC is saying this "edge-of-your-seat" remake will bring the story "into the 21st century." Which means instead of being sunk by a big wave, the new Poseidon is done in by terrorists. Why start a new Adventure? NBC Universal's Jeff Gaspin says he has wanted to do this for years. "These popcorn-type movies have always done well on television. ... This one, after it was made 30 years ago, nothing has been made like it since." The cast for the film includes Steve Guttenberg, Rutger Hauer, Peter Weller, Alexa Hamilton, Bryan Brown, C. Thomas Howell, Adam Baldwin and Sylvia Syms. No word yet on whether anyone will sing The Morning After in hot pants or how Winters' watery demise will be replicated. Whoever does it, she has big shoes to fill. - Robert Bianco www.usatoday.com/life/2005-05-19-coming-attractions_x.htm

OK. I don't know if this pertains to just the US, but it's playing on NBC at 7 central. I live in the central time zone....hence the central-ness. For everyone else, just relocate the time zone to where you are and there you go. Mark your calendars everyone: November 20. Hope everyone gets to watch it!
